HTTP (Hypertext Transfer Protocol), which
sets communication rules
between web servers and web browsers.
One potential issue with HTTP, is that the data shared
between the servers and your browser isn’t encrypted. This means hackers can see it.
Google will display an open lock on web addresses using
HTTP and also show users a message indicating that the
site they’re about to visit is unsafe.
This may deter users so
consider purchasing and installing an SSL certificate
to upgrade the site to HTTPS.
